Performance & Road Handling

Three different modes that will get you through any driving situation: In normal operating mode (4WD) the torque distribution between the front and the rear axles is electronically controlled, giving you optimal road holding regardless of surface conditions. If you know the roads are dry and safe, then you can switch into 2-wheel drive for reduced fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. Or in the case of reduced traction, the 4-wheel drive lock mode offers a higher distribution of torque to the rear wheels.

Safety

Safety is of paramount importance. That is why Active Stability Control (ASC) and ABS come as standard. ASC controls the braking and engine power applied to each individual wheel, helping to keep the vehicle under control even with poor road conditions. In addition, the SUV’s traction control system improves engine performance and vehicle behaviour during acceleration in curves or on a gradient. Safety also means being well protected when something happens that is beyond your control. That is why the PEUGEOT 4007 comes equipped with six airbags: two adaptive front airbags, two side airbags, and two curtain airbags. A deformable body structure was designed for crash compatibility with other affected vehicles.
